Bangladesh obtained independence in 1971 from a civil war by breaking away from Pakistan. The 70's for Bangladesh was to build a new country. Since the early 80's our family, were the pioneers in the transition of being official agents for the alcohol beverages for the newly appointed diplomats and the two 5-star hotels in the country, the Intercontinental (then became the Sheraton, and then Ruposhi Bangla and now the Intercontinental again) and the Pan Pacific Sonargoan.

From the mid 80's our family has been providing alcoholic beverages to five duty free and one duty paid bonded warehouses in Bangladesh as well as the 5 star and 4 star hotels. The 90's with the start of the Ready Made Garments (RMG) and more International Trade, with more hotels opening up as well as more foreign misssions & consulates, our family represented more brands from  the Pernod Ricard Group to Tuborg & Carlsberg.  Our family  represented Diageo until 1992 and has also represented the following brands over the years to name a few: Evian, Cross Pens, Christian Dior, Nina Ricci, Samsonite, Ray Ban and Givenchy.

From 2005, our family opened the first private duty free shop at Dhaka Airport, Sarban Duty Free and it is still running in Terminal 1 with four shops for cigerrettes/cigars; cosmetic/perfumes; alcoholic beverages and gift/confectionary.  We also work with private and government international tenders when supplying goods and services to international standards.

As the country has evolved so has our businesses and brands with us. Most of our family still work with the brands mentioned above and runs and manages these brands independently. We have opened Seomru International Distribution in 2023 to represent a few more brands that are listed in our brands section. At present we have an exclusive selection of brands and we are always looking to expand our portfolio.

WE INDENT

We indent and import on behalf of the International Companies we represent on an official level. We have all the relevant licenses to do so; Import License, Indenting License, Alcohol Import License, Narcotics License. 

SALES

We ensure we sell your product and maximimse sales. Our sales team are in constant touch with the buyers and acquistion managers to ensure we provide an honest and accurrate sales based on realistic volumes.

MANAGE & MARKETING

We manage the brands we represent and ensure they are represented with integrity to all our buyers. Our marketing team with an in-depth analysis will always ensure our brands are our first priority.
